Rev Dr Alan Conant

Parish Church -

We have a very strong partnership with St Ann’s Parish Church. The whole school take part in half termly services over at the Church as well as being involved in special services across the Church year. This year so far we have been over to Church for our annual Dedication of the Year service - this service sees each new member of school presented with a bible.

In October our Year 4 children led a fabulous Harvest Service. This Harvest Service was extremely moving because the children themselves wrote the entire service!

Our Year 3 children led our Christmas Service in December and in January we came together and celebrated Epiphany. Both services gave us the opportunity to remember the real meaning of Christmas.

It was our youngest children’s turn in February who led their own service focused around Trust. In March we attended Ash Wednesday Service led by Reverend Alan, the end of this service saw some of the congregation join the staff, parents and children over in school for a coffee morning which focused on the Anglican Distinctiveness of our school. Most recently we have been over to Church to celebrate Easter with a service led by our Year 5 pupils.

Our children also enjoy going over to Church for communion once a month.

Our Year 3 and Year 5 pupils are looking forward to hosting their own Communion at school for themselves, staff and members of the Church. Later on in the year our Year 6 pupils are going to host their own communion service, over at Church, for St Mary and St Thomas’ CE Primary School.
