Home School Agreement (2025/2026)

Purpose

The Home School Agreement outlines how the school, parents/carers, and pupils will work together to support each child's development and achievement, establishing clear expectations for all parties involved.

School Commitments

  1. Care: We will care for your child’s safety and happiness in a warm, supportive Christian environment.
  2. Christian Values: We will embed Christian values in all aspects of school life.
  3. Wellbeing: We will nurture your child’s mental health and well-being.
  4. Personal Development: We will develop your child’s character, interests, and talents through a variety of carefully planned experiences and opportunities.
  5. Behaviour: We will promote positive behaviour as outlined in our Relationships and Behaviour Policy, using reasonable force only as described in our Reasonable Force Policy.
  6. Quality Education: We will provide high-quality teaching and learning to enable your child to reach their full potential across the curriculum.
  7. Homework: We will provide regular and appropriate homework to reinforce learning.
  8. Communication: We will keep you informed about your child’s progress, attainment, and wellbeing, as well as school events and activities through regular communication.
  9. Engagement: We will be open and welcoming, offering opportunities for you to become a full and active member of our community.
  10. Rights: We will respect your child’s rights and help them understand and experience these rights in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
  11. Inclusion: We will ensure an inclusive learning environment where equality and diversity are celebrated, and protected characteristics are respected.

Parent/Carer Commitments:

  1. Policies: I will support the school’s Relationships and Behaviour Policy and adhere to all other school policies including the school’s Acceptable User Policy (available on the website).
  2. Cooperation: I will cooperate with the school if my child requires additional support with learning, behaviour, or health.
  3. Communication: I will interact with all members of the school community respectfully, both in person and in writing and attend parent/carer meetings relevant to my child.
  4. Social Media Conduct: I will avoid making defamatory or derogatory comments about the school or its community on social media, addressing concerns through appropriate channels.
  5. Uniform: I will ensure my child arrives at school wearing the correct school uniform and PE kit, adhering to guidelines regarding jewellery, trainers, and hairstyles.
  6. Equipment: I will ensure my child is properly equipped, including bringing the official school book bag and any necessary items for school activities.
  7. Attendance and Punctuality: I will ensure my child attends school regularly and arrives punctually (between 8:40-8:50 am) and follow the school’s absence procedure.
  8. Homework: I will encourage and support my child with their homework and daily reading and maths, utilising learning platforms provided by the school.
  9. Safety: I will take full responsibility for my child while on school premises at the beginning and end of the day and when they walk to and from school. I will park and drive safely and responsibly outside the school premises.
  10. Healthy Eating: I will support the school’s healthy food and nutrition policy, including regarding snacks.
  11. Information Requests: I will complete requests for information by the given deadline to support the school’s efficient operation.

  1. Vision: I will embrace the school vision: “Together, we aim high; with God’s love, we can fly.”
  2. Behaviour: I will follow the school behaviour curriculum at all times, including when walking to and from school and I will eat my lunch in a civilised manner.
  3. Courtesy: I will show courtesy to others at all times.
  4. Care: I will show care and kindness to others and take good care of all school equipment, furniture, and the building and its grounds.
  5. Concentration: I will concentrate at school and when doing homework.
  6. Rights: I will respect my rights and the rights of others.
  7. Equality and Tolerance: I will treat everyone equally and appreciate differences.
  8. Attendance and Punctuality: I will come to school every day, on time.
  9. Uniform: I will come to school wearing the correct school uniform and PE kit.
  10. Safety: I will move around the school quietly and sensibly and use school equipment safely.
  11. E-Safety: I will adhere to the School Acceptable User Policy.
  12. Mobile Phones: If I bring a mobile phone to school, I will hand it to a member of staff for safekeeping until the end of the day.
